The domains www.meteo.cat, www.meteocat.net, www.meteocat.info, www.meteocat.com, www.meteocatserveis.com and www.meteocatclients.com are the property of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Department of the Environment and Housing and the Meteorological Service of Catalonia respectively.
The Meteorological Service of Catalonia (henceforward, "SMC") is a public corporate body belonging to the Generalitat de Catalunya, attached to the Department of the Environment and Housing, with its own independent legal personality and the full capacity to perform its functions, which are regulated by Law 15/2001, of 14 November 2001, on Meteorology and Legislative Decree 2/2002, of 24 December 2002, ratifying Law 4/1985, of 29 March 1985, on the Articles of Association of public Catalan companies.
2.- PRICES FOR SMC PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
On its website, the SMC offers a series of products and services relating to meteorological information of general interest which are sent by short text messages to the mobile phones of Users who have requested this information:
- Weather forecasts:
- Maritime forecast to mobile: 1.04 Euros per message
- County forecast to mobile: 1.04 Euros per message
- Avalanche risk to mobile: 1.04 Euros per message
- Radar to mobile: 1.04 Euros per message
The short message service can be requested directly on the website www.meteo.cat or the website www.meteocatserveis.com.
3.- OWNERSHIP OF INFORMATION
All the meteorological information provided from the SMC’s website is offered to users so they can use it freely with the sole requirement that they expressly quote the SMC as the owner of this information whenever it is used for either public or private purposes. In this respect, the reproduction of the information on the website is authorised, so long as the SMC is notified in advance in writing to the contact address given in the “General Information” section.
4.- LINKS
The SMC website may contain links to other websites belonging to third parties. In this respect, the SMC accepts no responsibility for the information or content which may be obtained from websites belonging to third parties.
Links from the domains given in the first section of this legal notice, “General Information”, to other websites are not permitted without the express prior written authorisation of the SMC. This authorisation may be revoked at any time without any reason having to be given. In this case, the website which has set up the link should remove it immediately upon receipt of the relevant notification from the SMC that it is revoking its authorisation.
